Hospice College Board Approvals

HOME STUDY COURSE BOARD APPROVALS

Each program* is approved for three (3) hours of continuing education by the following boards:

  • Association of Social Work Boards
    Hospice Foundation of America #1090, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, phone: 1-800-225-6880, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.  Hospice Foundation of America maintains responsibility for the program.  Social workers participating in this course will receive 3 continuing education clock hours.  Licensed social workers should contact their individual state jurisdiction to review current continuing education requirements for licensure renewal.
  • California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Providers #PCE 687.
  • Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, MFT, and Mental Health Counseling, Provider #BAP 240.
  • Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners, registered sponsor #CS 1984.
  • California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP 11786.
  • Florida Board of Nursing, Provider #FBN 2883.
  • National Board of Certified Counselors, NBCC Provider #5729.
    Hospice Foundation of America is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors to provide continuing education for nationally certified counselors, (Provider #5729).  HFA adheres to all NBCC continuing education guidelines.
  • Association for Death Education and Couseling
    This educational offering is recognized by the Association for Death Education and Counseling to meet the thanatology-related contact hour requirement to be Certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying, and Bereavement.

Credit is awarded through Hospice Foundation of America.  It is the responsibility of each participant to make sure that the available approvals will be accepted by their professional licensing board.

     N.B. Course participants are required to return a completed evaluation form to HFA in order to receive credit for any home study course.

This course is approved for 2.52 CCE's for the entire course, or 0.36 CCE's per module by the Association of Professional Chaplains.

This course is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors to provide 3.0 hous of continuing education for nationally certified counselors.  We adhere to NCC continuing education guidelines.  Hospice Foundation of America is NBCC Provider 5729.

This course is approved for 3.0 hours for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards.
