HFA is pleased to feature a foreword by Senator Breaux in our upcoming publication, "Living With Grief: Loss in Later Life", and we applaud his interest in these significant issues. Doka, Senior Consultant to HFA, was interviewed in a recent article in the Health Section of the Washington Post entitled "Losing Fear." [NOTE: this article has been archived.] Hospice Foundation of America recently completed a one year end-of-life physician education project. The Hospice Medicaid Education Project was funded by the 2000 session of the Florida legislature and centered around tutorials for physicians who treat Medicaid patients. The tutorials were conducted by retired physicians trained by HFA. A report of the program is under review by the Florida Department of Health and will soon be available for distribution. ------------------------------------------------------------ Please be sure to contact the local site coordinator listed for information about attending the teleconference at his or her location. Some sites have limited space and a reservation must be made with the local site coordinator. Individual attendees do not need to register with Hospice Foundation of America.
