It is a gift that people can give to their loved ones

Millie Ye Yip shares her experience when hospice cared for her mother. Her mother chose a hospice that provided care providers who spoke her native language, Cantonese. It is one of the few hospices in the United States where all staff are bi-lingual; Self-Help Hospice is based in San Francisco and all of its staff speak Catonese and English. However, many hospices around the country are able to provide bi-lingual staff for patients and families enrolled in their programs.
