Artist: Autum Collignon, 8 years old
Other: Submitted by: Christina Harrington-Stutzmann: “The artwork assisted in our understanding of her concept of death and the way she makes sense out of her uncle’s end-of-life-care. Her task was to explain what death means to an alien. She was to name the alien, tell us where the alien came from and tell us what death is in your home.” Autumn: “Death means if someone gets very very very sick when they die it looks like you’re asleep but you will never see that person again because their heart stops working. And the body goes into the ground. People get saved and accepted Jesus into their hearts. They are sad."
